future daydreaming

Hey you all, we made a short videoclip with Danielle one day, don't mind our silliness. I just want to let you all know that I'm doing fine and today, the 12th of May is exactly one month left in the States.. I'm flying back to Europe in a month, I cannot believe that I've spent ten months here, almost a year! When I left from Finland, I knew I would see all my friends again, all my family. I wish I could say the same thing this time too.. It's gonna be hard to leave from here, I know that already. But as heard in the video, we are planning to study here again but this time in a university! I love it so much that Danielle and I share so many common interests such as studying abroad.. Thank you girl for coming into my life!

It's time for glitter, glamour and glory

PROM '13 #1

Danielle and I were these guys' prom dates in their prom in Meade County last weekend. We had such a fun time! We stayed at my prom date's (Dino's) place for the weekend and his host mom, Ann, did our make up, hair and have to tell you this - she's the greatest cook ever. Thank you Ann!!

Before the prom we had a little group with us who we rented a party bus with! It was awesome and the party bus took us from the countryside of Meade County to this restaurant in Indiana at the river front where you can see the city of Louisville ! We felt like living in an American dream all dressed up going to the prom with this party bus..

 After the prom we immediately went to bed and it didn't take long until this girl was knocked out, sleeping like a little baby, aww! 

THUNDER OVER LOUISVILLE

There was this event a week before our prom and as lazy as I am, I haven't downloaded the pictures before this moment. Thunder over Louisville is one of the biggest and greatest firework shows in the States. They had an air show and all kinds of booths, food places, a baseball game and entertainment machines at the river front. We went there with Dino and Danielle and walked into some of our exchange student friends! We had a blast.

Springbreak '13

FLORIDA SPRINGBREAK 2013

FIN: Pitkäperjantaina puettiin päällemme mukavimmat vaatteet mitä kaapista löytyi ja 17 tunnin matka bussilla kohti Floridan lämpöjä alkoi! Ajettiin yötä myöten ajatuksena, että aika kuluisi nopeammin bussissa nukkuessa. No, kävipä sitten ilmi ettei nuo bussinpenkit olleet ihan tarkoitettu pidemmän ajan nukkumiselle.. Aamulla pysähdyttiin Floridan osavaltion rajalla ja olo oli kuin voittajalla..! 

ENG: We left from Louisville for Florida on Goodfriday evening and drove throughout the night. The ride took 17 hours and what I discovered was the discomfort of those bus seats.. In the morning we felt like victories reaching the boarder of Florida's state line !

FIN: Orlandoon saavuttiin 17 tunnin ajomatkan jälkeen neljältä iltapäivällä. Kuudelta illalla lähdettiin viettämään iltaa Downtown Disneyyn ! Eksyttiin takasintulomatkalla bussille puolen ryhmän kanssa, koska napattiin väärä vene takasin toiselle puolelle.. Toinen puolikas ryhmästä joutui odottelemaan meitä sitten sen tunnin verran, sorry guys!

 ENG: We arrived Orlando at 4pm on Saturday and decided to go to Downtown Disney for the evening. When the time came to get back to the bus at 9:30pm, half of the group mysteriously disappeared on a boat ride..

DAYTONA BEACH 4/1/13

FIN: Vietettiin maanantaina koko päivä rannalla Daytona Beachilla, missä olen jo kerran päässyt käymään! Pari kuukautta takaperin käveltiin samaisella rannalla perheen kera koto-Suomesta ja pakko sanoa, että muistot oli aikas pinnassa..! Ihanan rusketuksen sain itselleni melkeimpä ainoana, sillä kaikki muut paloivat mukavasti.. Lämpöä oli kivasti yli 30 celciusta, ihana päivä !

ENG: We spent the whole Monday at Daytona Beach chilling, swimming, eating, getting tanned and having fun ! We had awesome time and I had some flashbacks from those times when I was there with my parents and my sis couple months backwards. It was weird to walk the same beach again thinking about that great time we had together with my parents! The temperature was on the 90's (about 30 celcius).

 DISNEYWORLD 2/4/13

FIN: Disneyworld koostuu viidestä eri jäätävän kokoisesta puistosta. Meillä oli mahdollisuus päästä yhteen puistoon, ja päätettiin kaikki mennä Magic Kingdomiin, joka on niin sanottu "pääpuisto". Meillä meni yli 13 tuntia kävellä läpi sen yhden puiston läpi, eikä edes päästy kaikkiin niin sanottuihin laitteisiin mitä siellä oli. Illalla alkoi aivan mahtava ilotulitus-show Disney teemalla! Päivä oli todella kuuma ja tuskanhiki nousi pintaan, sillä ilmeisesti pari muutakin oli päättänyt lähteä Disneyworldiin.. Jotkut kuulemma jonottivat vuoristorataan 3-4 tuntia!

ENG: The day we went to Disneyworld was really hot. I mean really hot. And apparently some others were decided to visit Disney on that day too, because that place was packed up ! The people were sweating and walking into each other eww.. Well anyway, it was a great day and I had fun. We rid these theme rides and they were _awesome_. The only problem was the long waiting line which depending on the ride was at least 45 mins long. Some of our friends waited 3 to 4 hours on a line to a roller coaster..

COCOA BEACH 4/3/13

FIN: Keskiviikkona oli vapaapäivä ja kaikki saivat päättää shoppailun ja rannan välillä. No, me suunnattiin sitten rannalle. Keli oli mahtava, aurinko paistoi ja asteita oli yli kolmisenkymmentä. Ranta tosin oli turhan täysi, jouduimme metsästämään tyhjää koloa levittää pyyhkeet jonkun aikaa. 

ENG: On Wednesday we headed to Cocoa Beach ! Awesome time, hours of tanning..

ST. AUGUSTINE 4/4/13

FIN: Torstaina ajettiin neljä tuntia bussilla USAn vanhimpaan kaupunkiin, St. Augustineen, jonka löysivät espanjalaiset. Vietettiin siellä pari tuntia ja olihan se paikka hieno nähdä :) 

ENG: On Thursday we drove 4 hours to the oldest city in the United States, St. Augustine, which was discovered by the Spanish. It was great to see the city just because of the history it includes ! 

SEAWORLD 4/5/13

FIN: Perjantaina mentiin käymään Seaworldissä, joka on kuuluisa eläinshow'staan ja mahtavista akvaarioista. Näistä puistoista missä käytiin, tää oli ehkä mun suosikkini! Väkee oli paljon, mutta ei liikaa. 

ENG: On Friday we went to Seaworld. Out of all the parks we've been to, this was my favorite!

FIN: Aivan mahtava kokemus ja reissu oli kaiken kaikkiaan, en todellakaan olis halunnut missata tätä! Joskus sitä miettii että oonkohan ansainnut näitä kaikkia mahdollisuuksia mennä ja nähdä eri paikkoja, ihmisiä ja kulttuureja. Tälläkin reissulla tuli tutustuttua moniin uusiin ihmisiin ja joidenkin kanssa läheni ja toivottavasti pysytään yhteyksissä. 

ENG: I had a great experience and trip and couldn't asked for better spring break! I got to know so many new people and got closer to others. And again, I learnt new things about different cultures and got the chance to explore the world once again. I feel so blessed to get all these opportunities and sometimes I doubt if I have deserved all this.
